As 100 melhores canções dos Beatles segundo a revista Rolling Stone

A revista norte-americana "Rolling Stone" publicou um ranking com as 100 melhores canções dos Beatles. "A day in the life", canção composta por John Lennon Paul McCartney e lançada no álbum "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", de 1967, ficou no topo da lista divulgada nesta quarta-feira (25).
O segundo lugar foi ocupado pelo o single "I want to hold your hand", de 1963, seguido por "Strawberry fields forever", incluída na trilha sonora do filme "Magical mistery tour", também de 1967.
A lista foi publicada como parte de uma edição especial de colecionador entitulada "The Beatles: 100 Greatest Songs", lançada para coincidir com o aniversário de 40 anos de "Let it be", o 12º álbum oficial de estúdio da banda lançado em 1970.
"Lennon, McCartney e Harrison tinham padrões extremamente altos como compositores. E começaram a amadurecer realmente: foram de simples letras de amor a histórias adultas... e a ideias maiores do que você esperaria encontrar em canções pop" declarou o cantor e compositor Elvis Costello, no texto introdutório à lista.

  1. Será que a revista Rolling Stone não tinha uma outra foto dos beatles pra colocar na capa?,já é a segunda publicação que saí com a mesma foto.
