A edição de 50 anos do álbum Abbey Road

A Apple Corps Ltd./Capitol/UMe anunciaram hoje oficialmente a edição de 50 anos do álbum Abbey Road que será lançado dia 27 de setembro de 2019 com vários formatos.
Os pacotes, que serão lançados , contarão com as 17 faixas recém-mixadas pelo produtor Giles Martin e o engenheiro de mixagem Sam Okell em estéreo, alta resolução, surround 5.1 e Dolby Atmos. Além disso, haverá 23 gravações de sessão e demos, que na maior parte não foram lançadas.
"A jornada de gravação dos Beatles passou por muitas reviravoltas, aprendendo curvas e emocionantes atrações", escreveu Paul McCartney no prefácio dos pacotes da edição de aniversário. "Aqui estávamos - ainda imaginando a magia de tudo isso."
"A magia vem das mãos tocando os instrumentos, a mistura das vozes dos Beatles, a beleza dos arranjos", disse George Martin. "Nossa missão é simplesmente garantir que tudo soe tão fresco e te atinja tão forte quanto seria no dia em que foi gravado."
O álbum seguinte de Abbey Road, Let It Be, de 1970, foi o último disco banda a ser lançado, mas Abbey Road foi o último que John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr e George Harrison gravaram juntos como um grupo.
O conjunto super deluxe incluirá 40 faixas em três CDs e um disco Blu-ray, enquanto a coleção de áudio digital Super Deluxe apresentará todas as 40 faixas para download e compra. O conjunto de caixa de vinil Deluxe de edição limitada apresenta todas as 40 faixas da coleção Super Deluxe em três LPs de vinil de 180 gramas.
A nova edição estará disponível no dia 26 de setembro nos Estados Unidos e dia 27 de setembro no Reino Unido.

  1. Não entendo por que boas faixas como “Oh Darling - take 26”, “Octopus's Garden - take 32”, “Something - take 37” e “You Never Give Me Your Money - take 30”, ainda irão permanecer inéditas oficialmente.
